Who are we?

The Eco Warriors Movement

is a youth led grassroot environmental movement working to ensure a balance between the three main aspects of sustainable development: Environment, Society and Economy. We believe that economic and infrastructural development should not be prioritized over environmental sustainability. Through our Eco-Educations programs and Eco Clubs in schools, we educate students and communities to spark in them environmental consciousness. We at Eco Warriors believe that a youth led action is a sustainable approach in dealing with environmental problems. One of our main focus is to develop measures that will help humanity to adapt and mitigate climate change.

Climate change has wide-ranging effects on the environment, and on socio-economic and related sectors, including water resources, agriculture and food security, human health, terrestrial and marine ecosystems, biodiversity and coastal zones. This makes climate change interests us most. Tree planting is a key intervention for managing global carbon to mitigate climate change. Our flagship project – Climate Smart Tree Planting (https://youtu.be/x9NVa8p1aD) is also adding up to the numerous global tree planting projects but this time to achieve an additional purpose of simultaneously addressing the triple planetary crises – Biodiversity loss, Pollution and Climate change.

We want to mitigate climate change, we want to conserve the forest, we want restore the aesthetics of the environment and we want to do all these in line with our culture and customs.
